Bozeman is a city located in the southwest of Montana; U.S.A. the city is the county seat of Gallatin County. The city at present holds a total popula6tion of 27,509 and it is the fifth largest city in the state. It was named after John M. Bozeman who founded the Bozeman Trail. The city is completely affected of the American culture and the locals are called as the Bozemanites. The city is also home to the Montana State University.
The city is located in the Gallatin valley with the Bridger Mountains to the northeast and the tobacco root mountains to west. Hence the climatic condition of the Bozeman and its surrounding areas is fairly unique as it receives very high rainfall during the rainy seasons. Because of its fertile soil the growth of plants is lush. Because of this reason the city has been nick named as 'the valley of flowers'.

With the inception of the city for thousands of years it was dominated of the Native American tribes including the Shoshone, Nez Perce, Flathead, Blackfeet and the Sioux. The valley was never permanently homed by any particular tribe. In the year 1863 John Bozeman along with his partner John Jacobs opened the Bozeman Trail. The city was invaded by many like in the year 1866 Nelson Story visited Bozeman with about 3,000 head of longhorn cattle. Many forts were also built by these invaders Fort Ellis was established by Captain R.S. LaMotte in the year 1867. These incidents happened in the 19th century. The city in its 20th century phase also faced many changes and developments like in 1906 the Chinese also invaded the city and many important incidents happened in Bozeman.
