Butte

The city of Butte is located in the silver Bow County in Montana. It is the county seat. In the year 1977, the city government and the government of the county amalgamated and formed the city and county of Butte Silver Bow. It is a hilly city with a total population of about 33,892. During the day of its rapid development it was considered as a most notorious city of U.S.A. it serves as home to hundreds of saloons and a famous red light district.

During the 19th century the city of Butte began as a mining town. In the beginning only god and silver were mined in the area but slowly with the advent of electricity there became a rising demand for copper which was abundantly found in the area.

It is believed that about half of the copper produced in United States were brought from the city of Butte. Bert Mooney Airport is the only airport in the city that connects it to different countries and states.
