The city of Kalispell is located in the Flathead County, Montana, USA. The city is the county seat of Flathead County. It is the largest city and is also the commercial center of the northwest Montana. The name Kalispell has an Indian meaning reference which denotes "flat land above the lake". According to the census report of 2000 the racial aspect of the city was about 95.84% white 0.28% African American, 1.22% were the Native Americans, 0.56% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.39% other races and about 1.66% are from other races.
