Montana is one amongst those few states in the United States of America that lacks a major sports team. Nevertheless, there are some Minor League baseball teams in Montana like, Great Falls White Sox, Billings Mustangs, Missoula Osprey and Helena Brewers.
There is also rugby played in Montana. Some of the Montana rugby teams are Helena All-Blues and Billings Bulls that plays under the jurisdiction of the Montana Rugby Union. There are also several Montana junior hockey teams like the Billings Bulls (original use of Billings Bulls as the name of a sports team); the Helena Bighorns (formerly known as both the Helena Ice Pirates and the Helena Gold Rush in Junior A tier hockey, and the Helena Cutthroats in Junior B tier hockey); the Butte Roughriders (Butte was the home to the Butte Irish antecedently in junior A hockey, now dead); and the Bozeman Icedogs.
These hockey teams are presently members of the NorPac Hockey League Rocky Mountain Division. An expansion team of the Missoula Maulers will join the league for the 2007-2008 seasons. The Yellowstone Quake of Cody, Wyoming is also included in the Rocky Mountain Division. Apart from hockey, baseball, football and basketball, Montana also has sports like Golf, Ice skating, skiing, and many other sports in its list of sports.
